Doucik Terms of Service

Last updated: 17 July 2026

These terms are a contract between you (the parent or legal guardian who creates the account) and Xworking top team s.r.o., Příčná 1892/4, 110 00 Prague, Czech Republic, company ID 24047830, VAT ID CZ24047830 ("we"). By creating an account you accept them.

1. What Doucik is

Doucik is an AI-powered maths tutor for school children. Lessons are generated by artificial intelligence. The tutor can make mistakes — an error rate is inherent to AI and cannot be removed entirely, just as no human tutor is mistake-free. The error categories, current measured rates and advice on working with Doucik most reliably are published and kept up to date in Doucik Accuracy (doucik.com/accuracy), which forms part of these terms. Doucik is a learning aid and does not replace school teaching, an exam board syllabus, or professional educational advice — we recommend double-checking important results. We continuously work on quality, but we do not guarantee specific learning outcomes or exam results. Your statutory rights are not affected.

2. Accounts

3. Free lessons, subscriptions and payments

4. Cooling-off and refunds (UK consumers)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations you normally have a 14-day cooling-off right for digital services. By starting lessons within 14 days of purchase you request immediate supply; if you cancel within the 14 days, we may deduct a proportionate amount for lessons already used. Beyond your legal rights: if something goes wrong on our side (an outage, a broken lesson), contact us and we will credit or refund the affected lessons.

5. Acceptable use

You and your child must not: attempt to extract or misuse the underlying AI models; use Doucik to generate harmful content; share one account beyond your own children; reverse-engineer the service; or use it for anything other than personal, non-commercial learning.

In conversations your child must not share sensitive personal details (phone numbers, addresses, passwords, details about other people) or send personal photographs — photos are for learning only (a snapped exercise, workbook or construction). Spamming and overloading the service (many messages or photos in quick succession, automated tools, persistently steering the conversation away from learning) is not allowed. Doucik is provided solely for tutoring and learning — any persistent use contrary to this purpose counts as a breach too, even where it is not expressly listed above (misuse, disrupting the service, deliberately wasting its capacity). Breaches are handled in steps: the app first warns the child in the conversation; if the behaviour continues, the running lesson ends and is forfeited (deducted from the plan as used). Three lessons ended this way within one month may lead to account suspension. In serious cases (clear misuse, endangering the service or other users) we may suspend an account immediately, without the prior steps. You agree to go through these rules with your child. Unused lessons remain valid if an account is suspended and can be transferred by agreement.

6. Safety features

Doucik includes safety systems designed for children, including crisis signposting (e.g. Childline 0800 1111) and email alerts to the parent when the child's messages suggest they may be at risk. These are core features of the service and cannot be disabled. See the Privacy Policy for details.

7. Availability and changes

We may update, improve or change features (including the AI models used) at any time. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email — changes apply from your next billing period, and you can cancel before they take effect.

8. Intellectual property

The service, its content and its software are ours or our licensors'. Lesson content generated for your child may be used by your family for personal learning. You retain rights to content you upload (e.g. homework photos) and grant us a licence to process it to provide the service.

9. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or your statutory consumer rights). Otherwise our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for decisions made in reliance on AI-generated content — always check important results (e.g. exam preparation) with a teacher.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and nothing in them affects your statutory rights or your right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
